You did a fine job in arranging the entire trip, and it all was worth the price! The accommodations were fantastic, 1st class all the way. My wife said that the hotel in Sorrento was by far the finest hotel she has ever stayed at, and we did book a room at the Helmsley Palace in New York City a few years back! The Amalfi coast trip was perhaps my favorite, as Positano is a place I could have stayed for months! Further, the trip to the Vatican was amazing, and the audience with the Pope was unforgettable - our guide positioned us so that the Pope was as close as 10 feet from us as he rode by! Since we were taking the train from Rome to Naples, I didn’t think it through to realize that the proximity of the train to the hotel in Sorrento meant that there was another train we would have had to take from Naples to Sorrento. There wasn't any part that I didn't enjoy except the days that were over 40 degrees (we still had fun except we were very sticky) and our hotel in London! I will remember this trip as a once in a life time experience. We have lots of great pictures so if you are in town we should have a coffee together or some Chianti (classico of course). I think my favourite part was the Amalfi coast but as I said there wasn't any place that wasn't fantastic. The pacing was perfect as we never felt too rushed. There is so much to see in every location you could easily spend more time in each place. I was surprised by how much I liked Rome. So many people had told me scary stories. I was also pleased that we never felt unsafe and didn't have any pick-pocket incidence. We drank a ton of wine and ate a lot.
